2013 Turley Juvenile: Highest Score Ever!

"Probably no one in Northern California has done more for the renaissance and resurrection of old vine Zinfandel than Larry Turley. He started Turley Cellars after selling most of his interest in Frog’s Leap Winery to his original partner, John Williams. The Turley Cellars project was founded in 1993, and is now over 20 years of age. The great thing about Larry Turley is that he’s quick to admit he’s never met an old vine he’s not fond of. As a result, they farm and buy fruit from 35 different vineyards, with some of them dating back to the late 1800s, long before Prohibition." - Robert Parker

This is the highest score Turley Juvenile has ever received and it is sure to be a treat for all lovers of good zin everywhere.  That being said due to very limited availability and ridiculous demand there is a two bottle maximum per customer.  This is to ensure as many of you get a chance to taste this wine as possible. Enjoy!

Perfect for the Grill: 2013 Seghesio Zinfandel 92WS as low as 18.95 (Lowest Price in the City!)

Seghesio Family Vineyards’ roots are firmly planted in Zinfandel, as our founder, Edoardo Seghesio, first planted this historic varietal on our Alexander Valley Home Ranch in 1895. Today, we share his passion as we farm estate Zinfandel in Alexander and Dry Creek valleys. This wine combines sites that have produced Zinfandel for over a century with newer sites that utilize proprietary clones and the most advanced viticultural practices.

2010 Château Gigault Cuvee Viva: 93 Points JS as low as 18.95

"This is clearly another very great vintage in Bordeaux.  I think it's safe to say that this vintage has turned out slightly better than 2000 and as impressive as 2005." - Robert Parker

We honestly thought these wines had become a thing of the past.  A 93 Point Bordeaux for as low as 18.99?  If you'd asked me earlier I'd have told you that you needed a time machine to find a deal like that.  Grab this and savor it. Who knows how long it'll be before we see a price/score combo like this from Bordeaux again

Alias Pinot Noir: Tasty Pinot for under $10?!??!

They said it couldn’t be done.  They said it would change the world.  Some just laughed at our audacity.  But here it is - a wonderful Pinot Noir with spice, earth, floral, and at the same amazing value as our other wines.  Now they just say, “Cheers!

2013 Alias - Pinot Noir
2013 Alias - Pinot Noir
Varietal: Pinot Noir | Location: United States | Size: 750ml
Red Wine

The Pinot Noir opens with bramble berry, wild strawberry, and rhubarb notes that accentuate the classic Pinot Noir pencil lead aromas from the barrel.  The wine also has undertones of dried fig, blueberry, leather, and a soft anise.
The palate is dominated by the same wild fruits in the aromas, with bright acid that is well integrated in the wine.  The Pinot Noir also has dusty notes as well as a mild vanillin from the oak.
The textures on the palate are very subtle, giving this Pinot Noir a bit of sexyness, both inside and out.  I like to pair this fresh Pinot Noir with Charcuterie and cheese, grilled veggies, or a fresh porcini mushroom risotto.
